Frederick M. Schubert

Frederick M. Schubert 71, of Tamaroa, IL, passed away at 2:15 P.M., Monday, February 12, 2001 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Fred was a retired supervisor at US Gypsum in Pinckneyville and was a farmer. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa. He was a member and adjutant of the Tamaroa American Legion Post 1277 and had served on the honor guard for many years. He was also a past commander of the Tamaroa American Legion. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Perry County Farm Bureau.
He was born June 1, 1929 at Tamaroa, IL the son of John A. and Catherine (Bathon ) Schubert.
He married Emma R. Clampet on June 27, 1951 at Corthin, Mississippi and she survives.
He is survived by his wife Emma of Tamaroa, four daughters- Joyce Flaugher and husband Randy of St. Peters, MO, Judy Schubert of St. Charles, MO, Joan Schubert of Pinckneyville, IL, Jeana Bruns and husband Mike of Tamaroa, IL, two sons- John F. Schubert and wife Michelle of Tamaroa, IL, Jeff M. Schubert of Tamaroa, IL, one brother- Bernard Schubert of Pinckneyville, IL, fifteen grandchildren- Emily Sifuentes, Michael Sifuentes, Tim Sifuentes, Jamie Flaugher, Tracy Voyles, Miranda Hilt, Nick Hilt, Jason Helbig, Angie Helbig, B.J. Helbig, Amy Steely, Eric Steely, Matt Steely, Amanda Schubert, Tabitha Schubert, four great grandchildren- Mackenzie Sifuentes, Baylee Kristen, Hannah Steely, Baby Voyles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son- Joseph Raymond Schubert, one brother- Clarence Schubert, three sisters- Dorothy Sherman, Clara Schubert, Rosella Schubert.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 15, 2001 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo and Fr. Daniel Jurek officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa, the Rosary will be said at 7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Military graveside rites were conducted by the Tamaroa American Legion.
